Paper Piecing

Paper-Piecing….Have you tired it yet?
This is my first ever paper-piecing quilting project. I tested a pattern from here . It is a super easy pattern to follow, and the results are simply amazing. The pattern is called Intersections, and is available from the link above.

I used charm packs from Moda for the diamonds, Kona Snow for the back ground fabric and a brown and black polka dot fabric for the stripes. I still need to quilt and bind the quilt. That will take some time. The charm pack is designed by Malka Dubrawsky and is the Simple Marks line.

I finally completed this quilt, yes! Fast forward, it is 2017 now but had this completed at end of 2016 as part of my UFO (Unfinished Objects to us quilters) challenge at my quilt guild.

Here is a close up of the quilting, I used chocolate coloured cotton thread for this quilt. It almost seems 3D. I love the modern quilting pattern.

Enjoy. 🙂
